Day 33 - Guntersville Museum

Finally, we've saved something and "recycled" it instead of tearing it down. This is the OLD armory - built of stone and huge. It was abandonded 20 odd years ago when a new armory was built. Last year the city finally decided to allow the museum to use it. They've done an excellent job inside (and outside too) - and now have tons of space.

I took this photo from the Library parking lot - and the rock wall you see is the 'driveway' around the building.

I'm so happy to see old buildings recycled instead of replaced.

I think buildings are one of the best things to see being 'recycled' !
