In the hot summertime there are huge fans blowing in the front openings.
The bottom photo is the "poop barn" - it probably has another name, but that's what it is. When they clean out the barns (with a backhoe, bulldozer, or whatever) they can't just leave it sitting out in the 'open' like they used to. It has to be IN a barn - hence the poop barn. It's actually quite close to the chicken houses - just a little off to the right of the top photo.

We have a few of those huge chicken farms in the area too, thank goodness about 30-40 miles away.
We have chicken farms here too --- one just closed or relocated. Too bad, used to get fresh eggs there. By the way -- what happens to the contents of the poop farm -- it doesn't just 'fade away' does it?
My friend is a chicken farmer in Arkansas - she has stories to tell, LOL
They should have a sales office next to that poop building - lots of folks would LOVE to have that for their gardens.
